The much anticipated Fabricator and Installer Market Report from Insight Data made upbeat reading for anyone involved in the fabrication or installation of vertical sliding sash windows. The report stated: “The stand-out PVC-U product in 2014 was vertical sliding sash windows, with 7,495 installers now actively offering this product, an increase of 600 firms compared to 2013.”
The positive result mirrors statistics released by specialist sash window company Roseview Windows. Roseview recently teamed up with Insight Data and conducted their own study into the sash window market, discovering that 88% of installers expect more sash window jobs in 2015.
“We were delighted to read that the number of sash window installers has increased but I can’t say we were surprised” commented Mike Bygrave, marketing manager at Roseview Windows. “We’ve experienced a surge in demand from installers over the last year, many of whom were new companies entering the market, and our manufacturing volumes have more than doubled over the past three years. What’s more, when we conducted our own study into the market we also found much positivity, including the fact that 65% of installers feel sash windows are more profitable compared to casements. It’s an exciting market and I would encourage any installer that wants to be a part of it to get in touch.”
Roseview Windows are the UK’s longest established manufacturer of uPVC vertical sliding sash windows, and they are specialists in the field – they only making this style of window from their state-of-the-art production facility in Buckinghamshire.
