Well-known industry figure joins TWR Bifolds

Bi-fold specialist TWR Bifolds has appointed a new Northern Sales Manager as it continues on its impressive growth trajectory.
The appointment follows exponential growth at the family-run firm, who are now manufacturing on average 60 aluminium bi-folds per week.
Jacky Black is a well-known industry figure and previously worked at Roto Frank as Sales Manager and has more than 15 years’ experience in the industry.
In her new role, Jacky will be using her industry knowledge and sales experience to promote the benefits of TWR and its aluminium bi-fold doors.
TWR is currently going through a major growth phase – a result of increased demand for its aluminium bi-folds in the domestic and commercial market.
This demand has seen the fabricator open a new 25,000 sq ft factory in Peterlee, County Durham; and it is one of the biggest dedicated bi-fold door operations in the UK.
The new site increases manufacturing capacity for aluminium bi-folds and ensures TWR can continually meet the consistently high demand for its products.
Managing Director Terry Richardson says TWR has further plans for growth and the new appointment will help them achieve this.
He said: “I’m delighted to welcome Jacky to the team, who will work alongside Gillian Coldwell who joined last year. More and more installers are looking to capitalise on the lucrative sales opportunities offered by premium products – such as aluminium bifolds – in the domestic market.
“In particular, we are seeing overwhelming demand for coloured products and she will focus on promoting our premium colour service for aluminium bi-folds.”
TWR Bifolds’ new premium fast-track service means that Terry and his team are able to offer RAL coloured aluminium bi-folds, on a three-day lead time; subject to an order form being completed by the installer and a deposit paid.
It is being dubbed the fastest bi-fold turnaround the industry has seen and TWR Bifolds are the only suppliers in the industry to offer the service.
TWR Bifolds can offer a three-day lead time on any standard RAL colour and a six-day lead time on any standard RAL dual-colour bi-folding door.
