16 new appointments at Bristol firm reflects incredible growth

A Bristol-based total facilities management firm has made a whopping sixteen new appointments over a three month period.

The record-breaking number of new appointments follows a strong start to the year for Almeda Facilities, which has also seen the business diversify into the Food & Drink sector.

The new recruits are Beth Sheppard, Support Services Assistant, Chris Oliver, Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, Jack Inman, Facilities Engineer, James Sandford, Senior Fabric Technician, Kris Burge, Facilities Engineer, Lee Gillam, Resident Engineer and Luke Cheesley, Landscape Engineer.

Also joining the family run business is Ollie Ibbotson, Facilities Contract Manager, Roger Neville, Facilities Engineer, Ross Frampton, Facilities Engineer, Sophia Gould, Facilities Co-Ordinator, Stephen Chang, Financial Controller and Tom Genge, Resident Engineer.

In 2015, Almeda celebrated a record year of trading, where accounts covering the year to 2014 saw turnover rise to £5.2m, up from £3.6m the year before. This year the firm is already on track to surpass this figure.

Contributing to growth in March 2016 was the launch of Almeda’s new catering division, Food with Passion. This new initiative is set to lead the way in changing perceptions around food and sustainability. It is the first-of-its-kind service offered by a FM company and looks to represent genuine positive change by valuing local, organic, nutritious and ethically sourced produce above everything else.

Food with Passion aims to be the leading authority on food-based ethical health and wellbeing in the UK. Its vision is to change perceptions around food and drink in the workplace, and international building materials company Hanson UK has already engaged Almeda to completely renovate its in-house restaurant.

Food with Passion is led by Head of Catering Operations Gordon Cox. Joining him in this new division are Catering Assistants Laura Buckley, Lauren Gabriel and Maisie Heather. Martin Parsons is also part of the team as Chef Manager.
