Becky Newell first to join new graduate scheme at family firm

Becky Newell, 24, has become the first person to join Almeda Facilities Management’s new graduate scheme.
The programme brings young, talented graduates through the business, giving them knowledge about the facilities management sector; as well as equipping them with valuable life and business skills.
Becky will spend two years training, learning everything about the business before moving into a permanent role.
Becky studied sociology and criminology at Plymouth University, and graduated in 2013.
After struggling to find employment, she found work at another facilities management firm, before moving to Bristol to join Almeda as a graduate trainee.
Becky comments: “I enjoyed the fast-paced work environment at my previous job but wanted to move to a company which placed more value on graduates; and staff development.
“The Almeda team is very close-knit and strives to always be the best; and it is exciting to work with such a diverse and interesting client base.”
As well as a successful graduate scheme, Almeda has also rolled out a £50,000 budget to deliver world class training to all of its staff.
This includes all of Almeda’s management team being enrolled at Cranfield University’s Management Development Centre.

Based in Keynsham, Almeda works with commercial landlords and businesses with property responsibility in the South West of England and South Wales to deliver total facilities management/maintenance services.
The company employs 50 people and counts @Bristol, Arnolfini, Bristol & Bath Science Park, SS Great Britain and many more as clients.
