Bristol firm invests in its next generation of leaders

It has been said that the true test of a successful relationship is a couple of days or a week away on holiday.
A Bristol business recently put this and its team’s leadership credentials to the test as it invested in a weekend away at a Leadership Retreat at Centre Parcs, Longleat.
Staff and Directors from Almeda Facilities Management, based in Keynsham, spent three days at the retreat. They worked on their leadership skills and took the opportunity to learn and understand each other better, developing how they can individually use their abilities to work as a team.
Almeda is fast-becoming a major force in the region and across the UK. This retreat doubled up as an opportunity to take stock of the company’s achievements and plan for continued sustainable growth in the future.
At the retreat, Almeda worked closely with Dr Mark Kigallon from Policing Matters, who specialises in creating an applied learning environment within which ethical leaders can flourish.
Brady George, Almeda’s Managing Director, comments: “The whole team threw themselves into all of the tasks and seminars, which was fantastic to see. We are creating a culture of being the best service provider in the world so taking time outside of the workplace to challenge ourselves individually and as a team will stand us in good stead going forward. It was a great success and we will move forward stronger and sharper.”
Some of the activities the team took part in included samba drumming, hire wire climbing and leadership and development seminars and conferences.
Almeda is a total Facilities Management company that works with businesses and organisations to reduce costs and transform the spaces they work in.
Clients include Bath Racecourse, Arnolfini, SS Great Britain, Bristol and Bath Science Park and many more.
