Almeda has published its annual accounts, which show a record year of trading.
The company is a leader in its field and work with organisations to manage their buildings and ensure they are run as efficiently as possible.
Clients include @Bristol, Arnolfini, Bristol & Bath Science Park and SS Great Britain. At @Bristol, Almeda were recently involved in the unveiling of landmark Solar Tree on Millenium Square.
In its most recent accounts covering the year to 2014, turnover rose to £5.2M, up from £3.6M the year before. Resulting in a record year of trading.
In the last year Almeda has also seen staff numbers rise to 50 and a new graduate programme launched.
Brady George, Operations Director at Almeda, says the recovering commercial property sector has helped the firm.
He comments: “By working together with our clients and across the south west to deliver lasting and sustainable change to many iconic buildings, we have continued to prosper; and the recovering commercial property sector has made a big difference.
“By doing so we have been able to create new jobs and invest heavily to ensure our staff are the best they can be.
“The better Almeda perform the more we can give back to the community and our employees.
“Our long-term plans are ambitious, and will see us launch new business divisions and initiatives, going forward.”
Earlier this year Almeda launched its ‘Bristol Green Alliance’ project together with Destination Bristol and the At Bristol Science Centre.
The scheme will help businesses to reduce their impact on the environment and will see workshops on recycling and upcycling held across the city.
Brady concludes: “As we grow we will focus more heavily on sustainability.
“We spend a lot of time working with businesses to be more sustainable, reduce their impact on the environment; and demonstrate that it doesn’t need to be an expensive exercise to do so.”
