Astraseal gets behind support for Fire Door Safety Week

Astraseal is lending its support to Fire Door Safety Week, a yearly initiative that seeks to raise awareness of the critical role of fire doors, and educate the public about the crucial importance of fire safety in the home.
Fire Door Safety Week runs from Monday 26th September to Friday 2nd October and there will be a range of activities aiming to raise awareness of this hugely important issue.
Zac Nedimovic, marketing manager at Astraseal, comments: “Fire doors are the first line of defence in the event of a fire, yet often they are not taken as seriously as they need to be. For instance, if budget restraints require changes to a specification, fire doors are often the first thing to be downgraded, and you frequently come across doors that are poorly maintained or not operating properly. Fire Door Safety Week aims to change this, and as a manufacturer of fire rated products, we felt it was important we lend our support.”
Astraseal manufacture 30 minute and 60 minute fire doors, both of which are fully compliant with the Building Regulations and BS476 Parts 20 & 22. Astraseal’s FD30 is made with the Winkhaus Ecoframe outerframe and Nanya slab from Distinction Doors, while the FD60 is made with the Nanya slab but with a bespoke timber outerframe. Both doors are available in a range of colours and styles, including sidelights.
Astraseal also manufacture a range of fire rated windows, which are made with the RAUFERNO PVC-U system, a profile which is based upon the popular REHAU TOTAL70 and has all the same design and security benefits.
