Astraseal renews Secured by Design membership

With a clear focus on security, leading Wellingborough-based fabricator of windows, doors and conservatories, Astraseal, has renewed its membership with Secured by Design.
This means Astraseal has submitted its products for extensive testing and certification to achieve the highly-regarded Police Preferred Specification status, which confirms products meet a high standard of security, reducing the opportunity for crime.
“We are delighted to extend our Secured by Design membership and continue to provide our customers with high-quality, secure products,” comments Zac Nedimovic, Sales and Marketing Manager at Astraseal.
“We have gone beyond the standards required by the Building Regulations to have our products certified by an independent, third-party certification body. This means our products have to meet the same standards and include the same specifications as the ones that were tested and be audited regularly to ensure this level of quality over time.”
“Research shows that SBD developments – where proven crime prevention techniques have been included in the built environment and where SBD accredited products, like doors and windows, are installed – are 75% less likely to be burgled compared to similar non-SBD sites. This provides a very strong selling point for our trade customers.”

Secured by Design works closely with Police Forces throughout the country and uses proven crime prevention techniques to reduce crime through environmental design to create secure spaces at the design stage and to set product standards that achieve Police Preferred Specification.
