Astraseal to the rescue in complex conservatory installation

When Northamptonshire based installers Wollaston Windows were faced with an especially challenging conservatory project in Little Houghton, they knew they could rely on their trade supplier Astraseal for help.
Working closely with Astraseal, Wollaston Windows installed an aluminium conservatory, with frame and guttering, all sprayed in a tasteful grey-green (RAL 7009) fitted with a top-specification Pilkington Active blue glass roof then equipped with three sets of Smart Aluminium in-line bi-folds.
“This had the potential to be quite tricky but thanks to Astraseal’s support, the installation ran like clockwork,” said Wollaston Windows MD Brian Henson. “For instance, there was a bit of a mix up between the client and the architect which resulted in Astraseal being asked to re-work a three-way bi-fold and turn it into a two and one. When we discovered a mistake had been made, Astraseal simply collected the door from site and re-worked the door the same day and didn’t charge, even though they weren’t at fault. One of the benefits of working with Astraseal is how they pre-assemble the conservatory in their factory beforehand, meaning we know it will fit together perfectly when out on site. The fact they can spray everything in-house was perfect for this job and meant we could go back to our customer with really competitive lead times.”
“We were delighted to work with Wollaston Windows and as always, we went the extra mile to ensure the project was a complete success” commented Zac Nedimovic, Astraseal marketing manager. “For example, we made all the necessary calculations and provided Wollaston with the technical drawings and plans for the base and structural steels. Once the steels were erected we sent one of our qualified surveyors to assess the site and measure, including for the required aluminium capping to cloak the steels, which we had bespoke made and sprayed. The entire building was then manufactured from the Astraseal factory before being delivered on one vehicle. Wollaston Windows did a fantastic job of the installation, and we’re really looking forward to working with them on other projects in the future.”
