BBI Services celebrates key team members during National Apprenticeship Wee

In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week 2022, business improvement specialists BBI Services are celebrating the contribution made by two crucial members of its team.
The organisation, which strives to help major players in the built environment maximise performance, perfect their processes, and unleash the potential of their people, currently has two employees completing apprenticeships.
Sharon Redshaw has worked at BBI Services for five years in finance and is completing a level three Assistant Accountant apprenticeship, while Sammy King joined the team last summer as a Marketing Apprentice after finishing sixth-form.
“I explored an apprenticeship because university didn’t appeal to me,” explains Sammy.
“I wanted to stay local, so I was still close to my family, and finding a job which allowed me to learn at the same time seemed like the right option for me.
“This apprenticeship is really the best of both worlds. Not only do I get practical work experience from being in a real office environment, but I also have a tutor who teaches me the theory behind marketing.
“Everything I’m learning is incredibly beneficial and I’m able to put it into practice every day while working with the BBI Services team.”
Supporting apprenticeships isn’t a new venture for BBI Services - it’s something the organisation has been involved in before, and it was this positive past experience that led it to explore other opportunities to bring apprentices into the business.
Emma Hope, PA and Office Manager at BBI, completed a level three business administrator apprenticeship last year and achieved a distinction. Emma said: “This was the first apprenticeship I’ve ever done, and I enjoyed it so much that I’ve been encouraging other members of the BBI team to consider doing one.
“I think there’s a stigma with apprenticeships that they’re only suitable for school leavers, but that’s not the case. They provide everybody with a great opportunity to learn and develop while working full time.”
