Pontefract based trade fabricator Dempsey Dyer has announced it is the new club and shirt sponsor of a local cricket club for the 2015 season.
Dempsey Dyer, a company which is passionate about supporting its local community, donated £750 to Alwoodley Cricket Club, with the money going towards new kits and equipment.
Peter Dyer, Sales and Marketing Director at Dempsey Dyer, has played for Alwoodley Cricket Club for the past five years. He commented:
“Alwoodley is a family-run club that’s at the very heart of the community and we were delighted to offer our support. As a member of the club it will be nice to see the money put to good use and helping all age groups from under 9s right up to the senior team.”
A spokesperson from Alwoodley Cricket Club said: “We would like to offer a very special thank you to Peter Dyer, an Alwoodley Cricket member and director of Dempsey Dyer, for arranging this very kind gesture. Clubs like Alwoodley rely on the support of the local community so it’s great to have the backing of a major employer like Dempsey Dyer.”
