World-leading machining firm elumatec has signed a deal that will see it exclusively supply a host of uPVC machinery products from German manufacturers Sturtz.
Principally known for its widely respected aluminium machining range, elumatec has nonetheless supplied uPVC machining products for a number of years. However, this latest arrangement will significantly expand that range, adding a number of state-of-the-art machines, and cement the already long-established relationship between Sturtz and elumatec.
“We’ve been delighted by the level of success we’ve been able to achieve in the aluminium machinery market,” comments elumatec managing director Phil Heavey. “It will always be a central part of our business. But at the same time, we’ve got big ambitions for the future.
The UK uPVC market presents an enormous opportunity for us. We’re committed to bringing the same innovative, quality-focused ethos we’ve always applied to aluminium to the uPVC side of the business – and we’re confident that given our decades of experience, our respected brand, and some sensational products from Sturtz, we’ll be able to quickly establish ourselves as a force to be reckoned with. It’s fantastic to be working with Sturtz again – and we’re confident our renewed partnership means great things ahead for both companies moving forward.”
The firm is now offering a range of advanced uPVC machining products. Sturtz FlexCentre 160 is a highly-advanced cutting and machining centre for uPVC window and door production. Boasting a 6-axis machining module and a triple sawing unit, it’s one of the most versatile products in its class, while the automatic preload of profile bars and off-load conveyor belt maximise productivity and efficiency.
The Sturtz TXR 3/2 Corner Transom Cleaner is a revolutionary machine that fully automates the cleaning of corners, transoms and crucifix welds. Spring-loaded knife units allow for unparalleled accuracy, while flexible tooling options allow the machine to be quickly adapted for different purposes.
The Sturtz VSM Turbo Welder is a high-speed vertical 4-point welder offering exceptional accuracy and high-temperature welding functionality that can reduce welding times by up to 30% - while the Sturtz Contourline is a revolutionary new product capable of producing smooth, virtually seamless corner welds much quicker that methods that involve complex specialist welding processes.
All these products and more will be on display in Birmingham, in May when elumatec takes to the stand at the upcoming FIT Show. “FIT provides us with a fantastic opportunity to unveil our new uPVC range to the industry,” says Phil. “We’re hugely looking forward to showcasing the products to the industry’s best and brightest.”
