But the appointment of industry veteran Brian Webb as Business Development Manager marks the beginning of the next phase in its evolution – one which, the firm hopes, will see it become the most respected aluminium fabricator in the South of England.
Back in 2006, Managing Director Tony Drake founded Fenster with a very clear purpose in mind. He wanted to build an aluminium fabricator with a difference – one driven by a passion for design and an uncompromising attention to detail, not maxing out an order book whatever the cost.
“Tony is a highly principled person,” Brian explains. “He cares deeply about every product that goes through the factory – and before he was willing to expand, the business had to be at a stage where he was sure he’d be able to continue offering that same level of service.

In preparation for the next phase in its expansion, the firm has made investments that aim at enhancing customer experience even further. We are currently in the process of launching a cloud-based online ordering system from Window Designer, which will allow us to effectively automate the quoting process for simpler products and make customers lives easier,” Brian continues. “We’ll still be on the end of the phone to talk clients through more complex orders – but we hope it will make our customers lives significantly easier.”
Fenster has developed a close collaborative relationship with systems company Smarts over the last decade, and today the firm can offer a full range of Smarts window and door products.
