Another ‘successful’ year for aluminium systems business

A leading supplier of aluminium windows and doors for some of the UK’s most pioneering buildings is gearing up for a successful year, following a strong 2017.
In 2017, Hueck was involved with many large-scale builds, appointed several new directors, and brought new products to market.
Last year the business launched four new premium products: the Volato SLS 075, the Lambda WS 075 FC, the Lambda SA and Trigon GSP.
As well as the two new window systems – the Lambda SA providing exceptional soundproofing, and the WS 075 FC boasting high levels of thermal insulation – Hueck also offers architects a virtually seamless façade system in the Trigon GSP, and incredibly slim high-end door profiles with the Volato SLA 075. Indeed, a triple track version of the Volato SLA 075 system is also available from Hueck.
2017 was also a significant year for Hueck in terms of staff appointments. In June, Thomas Polonyi was given the position of Chief Executive Officer of Hueck, based at the company’s headquarters in Lüdenscheid, Germany.
Thomas brings a wealth of experience to his new role having held senior positions in various companies including Assa Abloy Entrance Systems AB and ThyssenKrupp Bausysteme GmbH.
In the UK division of Hueck, Leon Friend was appointed managing director while Adrian Price became their new technical manager. Both Leon and Adrian had worked for Hueck for several years previous to their appointments and both have been vital in ensuring the company’s growth this year.
Under Leon’s leadership, Hueck UK has participated in a variety of residential and commercial developments across the country. For example, early this year the manufacturers supplied windows and doors as part of the £80m innovative Hoola project.
“The Hoola buildings use recycled energy and have achieved a 57% reduction in CO2 emissions,” explains Leon.
“Hueck specialise in the production of high-performance aluminium profile and we are proud that our products have contributed to the success of such a ground-breaking project which is as impressive in its aesthetics as its sustainability.”
As well as the Hoola project, Hueck also supplied window and door systems to a student a £50m student accommodation development overlooking Wembley stadium.
Similarly, Hueck’s Trigon Unit L façade system was used in conjunction with the Lambda DS 075 door system to create the facade of the major Elephant One development in central London.
Leon concludes: “Throughout the year we’ve strived to develop and grow as a company but have ensured that our commitment to quality has always remained. In the new year, we hope to keep up this momentum and are already in discussions with architects and contractors regarding projects for 2018.”
