Lead software developer celebrates decade of service with Insight Data

Sean Payne, lead software developer at specialist data supplier Insight Data, is celebrating 10 years with the award-winning firm.
Joining the company in 2010 straight from University with a degree in web and software, Sean helped on several projects before working on Salestracker, the world’s first fully integrated sales and marketing platform.
And since then he has seen the software, and Insight Data itself, grow at a rapid rate.
Sean said: “The Salestracker platform has evolved over the years, with improvements including a mobile version of the site and the inclusion of an email tool within the platform, and it’s been brilliant to assist customers in the day-to-day running of their business – and see first-hand just how valuable Salestracker is.
“In many ways, it’s mirrored the rise of Insight Data. When I started we had four researchers, one developer, a research manager and one person doing management and marketing, all working from a small office.
“Now there are around 80 of us across the group, and we have a team of researchers, a sales team and marketing professionals all working from our dedicated research call centre and software development HQ near Bristol.”
Designed exclusively for the building and fenestration industry, Salestracker combines real-time prospect data with a powerful online portal with full CRM, map integration and credit profiling.
And Sean and the team are already working on the next version.
“This version of Salestracker has greater scope than we could have imagined, given that we’re exploring machine learning and revolutionary data collection and analysis. It is genuinely exciting,” added Sean.
“In the meantime, we have some quality-of-life updates in the pipeline for the current version, which is due for release in the next few months.”
