Timber windows offer new opportunity for component and glass suppliers

For many glass, hardware and component suppliers the PVCu and aluminium markets are the lifeblood of their customer base, however, data experts Insight Data say many companies are missing out on huge opportunities within the timber sector.
According to the recent Fabricator and Installer Report from Insight Data there are more companies manufacturing windows and doors using timber than any other material.
These figures highlight fresh opportunities for suppliers whose typical market may only include aluminium or PVCu.
Insight's sales manager, Sonia Punter, comments: "Whilst many would assume there are a larger number of PVCu and aluminium fabricators, the reality is there are actually more timber fabricators. It is true that many are small joinery shops, but equally there are some very large timber manufacturers such as Jeld-Wen whose UK turnover is over £100m."
Sonia goes on to explain that the timber market is full of opportunities and, by turning their attention to this lucrative sector, suppliers can easily target and win new business from potential customers that would otherwise go unnoticed:
"The large number of timber fabricators we have added to our databases brings to light the importance of timber as a material and is a market that should not be ignored by glass, hardware and component suppliers whose traditional market may be aluminium or PVCu."
Companies can find and target these timber fabricators using Salestracker, Insight Data's online prospecting system that is the only database to be updated live in real-time.
