Business starts tenth year of trading by hitting half a million milestone

A business is celebrating the beginning of its tenth year of trading by generating half a million leads and millions of pounds worth of business for installers.
Stockport based Leads2trade will become ten years old in November 2016 and has kicked off a decade in business by recording it’s best ever start to a year, by generating half a million double-qualified sales leads for its members.
The company was started by Andy Royle, John Cohen and Alan Gray who previously all worked for a multi-national safety company together. The online sales and marketing entrepreneurs spotted a gap in the market for a business that would provide red-hot double qualified leads for companies with direct sales teams, at a competitive price.
Andy, John and Alan targeted the home improvement industry as they already had clients from this sector and set about building a series of websites that would capture consumer enquiries and created the now recognised “Trusted Local Supplier” brand.
With this complete, the next stage was to create a national network of reputable home improvement companies that could offer consumers a free no obligation quote and then build a UK call centre where staff could immediately react to the web enquiries and qualify them before being sent out to their members.
The recipe proved a success and the company quickly grew organically and in 2013 acquired the “Compare Companies” brand.
Ten years on Leads2trade is the UK’s number one provider of double qualified sales leads and has thousands of members who operate in a range of sectors and markets including fenestration, renewable energy, boiler replacement, conservatory roof replacement and specialist products such as bi-folding doors.
Leads2trade now has a network of 100 websites, where homeowners register to find tradesmen to carry out home improvement work.
Andy Royle, co-founder and Director, comments: “It was a risk for myself, John and Alan to go out on our own but it’s all been worth it. We’re now industry leaders and we are generating hundreds of thousands of leads, which installers are turning into profitable business opportunities in every postcode in the UK.
“Also, it’s a buzz to have created over 25 jobs and see the town benefit from the supply side effects of this. In our own small way, we’re helping the industries we serve and the regional and national economy.”
Not only do Leads2trade provide their members with double-qualified leads – they also provide marketing support, consumer finance, and most recently launched a new Hot Key lead transfer service.
This allows the Leads2trade call centre team to directly transfer the consumer on the other end of the line to the installer in that postcode area so that an appointment can be made straight away - increasing the likelihood of a survey being arranged there and then.
It has proven successful and increased lead conversion for its members by 70 per cent.
