Green Deal video goes live

Posted on 21/11/2012

Leads2trade, the company behindthe Trusted Local Suppliers Network, has released a video to explain how installers can benefit from the Green Deal.

Just over a month ago Leads2trade also launched its TLS Green Deal Network which saw them team up with Green Deal funders to give installers access to work that will be created through the government scheme.

According to Andy Royle, who is Leads2trade's Sales Director: "We have followed the Green Deal process very closely and it has certainly received much analysis and comment

"But amongst SME installers there is still uncertainty as to how they will benefit from the scheme. The video we have produced will give viewers a succinct overview of what the scheme is and then explains how via our Green Deal network, they can benefit from it."

In Leads2trade's video it is explained how installers can access Green Deal funded work and how Leads2trade will equip them with the necessary accreditations and software to do so.

Regarding Leads2trade's actual TLS Green Deal Network, Andy explains how it works: "Installers that join the network will be equipped with the accreditations and on-going training they need to carry out Green Deal sanctioned work.

"Once accredited, members will be able to put old quotes, or even leads from other providers forward for Green Deal funding. For example, if installers have a double glazing quote which the homeowner couldn't initially afford, they will now have the option to qualify it through the TLS Green Deal Network."

Members of the scheme will be able to reserve however many postcodes they want to carry out green deal funded work which initially includes double glazing, insulation, boiler replacement and solar.

According to Andy installers need to get on board quickly though: "You have to be registered with the TLS Green Deal Network before December 17th.

"You will then be given access to gain your PAS 20:30 accreditation so that when funds are released in January and the TLS Green Deal network goes live you and your business will be green deal accredited."

A number of installers that are already Trusted Local Suppliers have already expressed their interest to the TLS Green Deal scheme.

The Window Store's Managing Director, Peter Hepwood, had this to say about it: "We're really looking forward to the TLS Green Deal Network going live in 2013. It's clearly going to be a great way of increasing sales from past. present and future enquiries."
