A new Commercial Sales Manager for Listers

Lister Trade Frames are renowned for delivering to the trade a service and product unsurpassed by their peers. For 36 years they have been working hand in hand with their customers and suppliers to establish a business that is often emulated but never beaten.
Three years ago Listers diversified into the Commercial Installation Market an area where they have seen consistent growth. “We’ve had substantial success since we introduced a commercial arm to the business.” Commented Phil Warren, Sales Director. “That initial success has given us the confidence to invest in even more resources so that we are able to fulfil larger contracts and meet the expanding demands on us.”
With this in mind Listers has employed Nick Ball as their new Commercial Sales Manager to reinforce their Commercial Team. With over 20 years experience working for the likes of Heywood Williams, Bowater and Profile22, Nick has already become an important driving force in advancing Listers goals.
“I was delighted to be able to join Listers and very excited by the challenges facing me,” remarked Nick, “I want to help Listers become the name on specifier’s lips when sourcing commercial glazing products and installers.”
Thanks to Nick’s industry and product knowledge, Listers are now increasingly becoming involved in projects that would normally have been out of reach because of size or distance. “We were being asked to tender for larger works in London and we had to balance the new jobs with our existing commitments closer to home,” said Nick. “So we needed to expand our workforce so that we could literally be in two places at once.”
Listers saw this as an opportunity and employed and trained new fitting teams to cope with extra demands. The decision has certainly paid dividends.
2012 has seen Listers continue to invest extra time and money to increase their skill base so that they can go on growing their business and establish themselves amongst the major commercial players.
“We knew that commercial installation was an area that could prove fruitful and by bringing Nick Ball on board and expanding our team, we’ve been able to grow our business in an economy that is struggling,” said Phil. “We’re always eager to adapt and explore new avenues of business that keep our company strong.”
Listers continue to defy the recession with their commercial success and when asked what drives them on, Nick Ball made a very simple observation: “Listers won’t stop when there’s work to be won.”
