Record first half for Lister Trade Frames

After a long period of stagnation the construction industry has finally started to grow again. New homes are being built and there is a growing appetite with homeowners to move or improve their properties. All good news for the Glazing Industry who are benefiting from the uplift.
Lister Trade Frames, based in Stoke on Trent, have seen several recessions over the years, having traded since 1976. This year though has seen them report record growth in the half year to date with their commercial works showing over 80 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
Listers primary business activity is the manufacture and supply of windows, doors and conservatories to Trade Installers. In fact they have won the national ‘Fabricator of the Year’ award three times in the last nine years along with many other awards for their work in this area. Mark Warren, Listers Managing Director says that while this remains the main focus of the business they have diversified into new markets and this is now adding to their success.
“It’s great to see our trade installation partners with full order books once again after a few lean years.” says Mark, “Listers continues to add new products and services for our customers and this is driving growth and we have also been very successful in growing our commercial installations business which is now delivering exceptional results.”
Listers ended 2013 with a 10% rise in sales, adding over £800,000 to their turnover and in the first six months of 2014 they have reported a 20% increase on those 2013 results.
“We’re really pleased with the half year results and although this has put a lot of stress on the business we have been working very hard behind the scenes to increase our service to customers. We have a lot of new products about to launch which will give our trade customers even more opportunities to grow their businesses with us.”
Listers are now benefiting from the rise in business that the construction is enjoying. There’s no doubt that there will be tests ahead in a more active and perhaps more discerning market place as consumers become ever more demanding. However, Listers believes that they are well placed to meet those demands and their track record continues to underpin that belief.
