Securing a construction site with hoarding is not just about security, it is also vital for ensuring the safety of passers-by and those within its vicinity.
Which sounds simple enough, but with traditional plywood and composite panel hoardings considered wasteful, costly, unsafe and time-consuming to install, it’s not that easy.
Or it wouldn’t be, if it wasn’t for Plasloc.
The Newton Abbot-based company is changing the face of the construction industry by supplying innovative hoarding and screening solutions for major infrastructure and construction projects, so much so that it is now a recognised brand amongst the UK’s leading retailers and building contractors.
The incredibly versatile, cost-effective and sustainable product is suitable for any environment, both internal and external, and has been designed for quick installation and easy removal.
What sets Plasloc apart even more is that when all hoardings and screenings are removed they are recycled to produce more Plasloc, meaning zero waste and an environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional building materials.
The freestanding hoardings appear clean and light and can be customised with corporate colours or printed graphics and the range can also incorporate doors, windows, LED lighting, power containment, clip in posters and multimedia advertising.
Director Leigh Matthews commented: “We provide clients with a complete managed service for all of their interior and exterior segregation requirements from design through to installation, adaption and removal.
“Our products are ideal for retail or commercial environments but are equally suitable for use as offices, soundproof areas and sterile areas within hospitals. At Plasloc we pride ourselves not only on our product but also on our professionalism, which is why our installers are efficient and minimise the disruption caused to members of staff to allow the company to function as normal.”
Recent projects have included the refurbishment of Channel 4’s head office, a fit-out in Wembley Stadium, and work at Reading University, while last year they delivered a number of complex projects, including St Thomas’s Hospital and the University of Cambridge, part of a £1bn development.
Leigh commented: “We are thrilled to have been involved in a number of high-profile, ambitious projects and are extremely proud of our product’s ability to adapt and thrive in all of these challenging environments.
“Working with such a unique product truly sets us apart and the industry has really embraced what we do.”
In fact, since 2011 Plasloc have worked on more than five thousand different projects and thanks to a flurry of new contract wins, the company is on course for substantial growth through 2018/19.
