Sliders UK reports sustained growth

Sliders UK, the specialist manufacturer of inline sliding, bi-folding and composite doors, has reported sustained growth on the back of product innovation and continuing investment.
The company said that increased demand for its aluminum bi-fold and inline sliding patio door and window ranges, had contributed to an increase in turnover 10 per cent.
Sliders UK said that this, plus renewed demand for its PVC-U inline sliding doors in new build and retail sectors, meant that it was projecting continuing growth throughout 2016.
Ian Longbottom, Chairman, Sliders UK, said: “We saw incredible growth in demand for aluminium bi-folding doors and inline sliding doors last year, with volume up 225 per cent on 2013, so to have built on this this financial year is a real achievement.
“This growth has been replicated across product ranges, driven by renewed consumer confidence and an increasing number of new build starts. We see this continuing into 2016.”
Sliders UK now manufactures a comprehensive range of ALUK products at its state-of-the art manufacturing facility. In addition to its bi-folding door and patio door ranges, this includes commercial, residential and French doors, residential casement and steel replacement windows.
The first manufacturer to launch either an SBD inline sliding or bi-fold door in the UK, Sliders UK has also committed significant investment to the development of its Ultimate Range.
Including the Ultimate Aluminium Bi-folding Door, slim-sightline Ultimate Aspect PVC-U Bi-fold Door, Ultimate Inline Patio Door and the Ultimate Composite Door, it features Secured by Design and PAS24:2012 approvals as standard.
Ian continued: “We have built our reputation on quality and service but also on security. Changes to the Building Regulations and the introduction of Part Q in the autumn make this more important than ever, because it creates a regulatory requirement to supply a PAS24:2012 or SBD approved door.
“Although its primarily aimed at new build, the knock-on effect of the introduction of Part Q into retail, for example the supply of products into new build extensions, conversions and other home improvements, is significant.
“We have worked extremely hard to be able to supply a complete range Part Q, Pas24:2012 doors, and we expect our customers to see the benefits of this strategy going into the New Year. This is something which we firmly believe will be a key foundation of our growth going forward.”
