Consumer Protection Association celebrate 21st birthday as a record breaker

The Consumer Protection Association (CPA) is celebrating its 21st birthday in style, having broken a number of records.
The CPA started over twenty years ago as a supplier of Insurance Backed Guarantees (IBGs) and Deposit Protection to installers; and quickly became one of the most trusted industry resources where homeowners can go to find accredited and vetted home improvement companies.
Becoming a member of the CPA is now seen as a badge of honour; and hundreds of elite companies in the home improvement industry make up its membership base; with the majority in the glass and glazing industry.
Members receive lots of added value benefits such as sales training help, quarterly assessment reports and industry intelligence.
With demand to become a member higher than ever; the CPA has grown year on year and broken a number of membership and sales records.
“From May 2014 to May 2015 we achieved our highest number of membership enquiries; saw record revenues and also approved a record breaking number of companies to become CPA members,” Says Director Jeremy Brett.
The good news comes off the back of a visit from eminent MP Nadine Dorries, who recently endorsed the company’s efforts to raise standards in the home improvement industry and approved its campaign to see VAT removed on home improvement products.
Alongside providing a number of services to installers, the Consumer Protection Association also works to raise standards in the home improvement industry and lobby government on issues affecting their members.
“It’s truly been an amazing 21 years in business and the industry has made huge strides to become what it is today – a five billion pound sector that serves homeowners and businesses up and down the UK. For us, it’s rewarding to see our members winning the amount of business they do, compared to non-members.”
