A high-profile glass and glazing industry relationship is set to benefit installers up and down the UK.
Sumo Yuki – the Consumer Protection Association’s mascot and trusted accomplice, who is helping connect trusted tradesmen with consumers looking for home improvements, is getting married.
Yuki took a temporary break from his glittering career as a wrestler in Japan to come to the UK and front the CPA’s #togetherstronger campaign.
Together with the CPA he is helping to promote best practice across the glazing and wider construction industry and is working with installers to help them win profitable new business.
Yuki will now remain in the UK to further the cause and is also set to marry Akiko – an experienced architect and property professional, who he met in London whilst working for the CPA.
She will help him on his mission to help home improvement companies boost their order books and become industry leaders; and the campaign message is evolving to become #evenstrongertogether
The CPA has been providing IBGs and Deposit Protection for over 20 years and is widely recognised by consumers as a trusted resource for finding accredited and vetted installers.
A recent survey showed that 70% of consumers believe that CPA members provide the most protection, making CPA members far more likely to win business over non-members.
Jeremy Brett, Managing Director of the CPA, comments: “Our members are known for their quality and integrity; and the CPA brand and ethos inspires confidence amongst homeowners, making it easier for our members to win new business.
“We’ve had a record number of new members in the last six months and many new joiners are telling us it is because we are independent and trusted; and allow members to retain their independence too.”
Yuki concludes: “The CPA is a great organisation and is making a huge difference to the industry by helping installers and boosting its image. I’m glad to be here.”
