Bristol MD recognised as part of west’s emerging talent scene

An up and coming Bristol MD has been nominated for the Institute of Directors South West Director of the Year Awards.
The Director of the Year Awards highlight and reward the achievements of the South West’s foremost entrepreneurs, directors and organisational leaders in building success, creating wealth and growing the regional economy.
Chris Holland of Waste Source has been nominated in the category of Young Director of the Year.
Chris and his business partner Jon Free established Waste Source in 2010 to make waste management simpler, cheaper and more efficient for businesses of any size.
Through innovation and a commitment to delivering word-class service, Waste Source has achieved rapid growth over the past few years, with the business turning over a record £2.4 million in the year ending November 2016.
Waste Source currently employs 10 people at its offices at the Tobacco Factory and counts Turtle Bay, Boston Tea Party and Oak Furniture Land and customers.
Chris comments: “Myself and Jon founded Waste Source with the goal to help businesses increase recycling rates while driving down administration and costs.
“While we look to significantly expand our client base in the coming years we are also keen to attract the best talent and create growth opportunities for people in the region.
“I am delighted to be nominated for the Director of the Year Awards. It’s great to so many inspiring leaders in the region who are creating new opportunities and championing the south west as a fast-growing business hub.”
The IoD South West Annual Dinner & Director of the Year Awards takes place on 25th May at Ashton Gate Stadium.
